1. Do I need to provide proof of completion for each QI activity completed in Step 1?
No. You do not need to provide proof of completion for each of the QI activities you choose to complete in Step 1. Only the QI Activity Record and Reflection must be completed and submitted to CPSO. However, participants are encouraged to retain their certificates of completion in the event that CPSO performs a random audit, and for the purposes of CPD credits.
2. Can I pick any 3 QI activities I choose for the purposes of Step 1?
The current menu of activities within the Pilot for Step 1 include 10 QI activity options. Participants must choose a minimum of 3 activities from the provided menu of 10 for the purposes of completing Step 1.
3. Are there any limitations to what I can use as a problem and intervention within my Practice Improvement Plan?
The Practice Improvement Plan criteria that CPSO Medical Advisors and CPSO QI Coaches will use to review your PIP is here. Your PIP must meet each of the criteria for it to be considered to have met QI Pilot expectations.
4. What happens if my Practice Improvement Plan (PIP) does not meet criteria on first submission?
- If your PIP is found to be missing 1 or more criteria, you will be provided 10 business days to revise and resubmit your PIP.
- All participants are welcome to request QI Coaching for support and for physician-to-physician advice on how to meaningfully imbed QI principles into their practice at any stage of QI Pilot participation.
5. What if I’ve previously completed one of the listed QI activities? Can this count as one of my Pilot activities?
If you completed one of the modules listed on our QI Activity Options within the last 6 months, you may count it towards your Pilot participation. Remember to keep a record of your certificate of completion in case you are asked for proof.
6. How can I change my QI deadline in the Portal?
Please reach out to a Quality team member if you have questions about your deadline or if you feel you need more time to complete the Pilot requirements.
7. Where can I provide feedback about my Pilot experience?
After you have successfully completed all your QI Pilot activities, one of the Quality team members will reach out to you with a feedback form for you to use to share your experience.
