Physicians (and others, such as clinic owners) may not display or use the College logo (i.e. the crest and /or CPSO logo) on their websites or on printed materials. “CPSO” and the College crest are the intellectual property of the College and have been granted official mark status under the Canadian Trademarks Act. Use of the College logo is not an appropriate or permissible method to indicate that a physician is a member of the College. If a physician wishes to do so, the physician may indicate this by stating that they are a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, or more specifically, that they hold a certificate of registration to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The College reserves the right to request that the College logo be removed from a member or other party’s website or printed materials.
